PDU's Power Distribution Units

PDU's, also known as Power Distribution Units, are generally devices that are like specialized power bars. Simply put, a PDU connects to a single receptacle on the back of a UPS and provides a number of receptacles for you to connect your equipment to. Some PDU's are sophisticated and do some type of voltage conversion e.g. a PDU that connects to a 208V 30A socket on the back of the UPS and steps down the voltage to provide 8 outlets of 120V.
